An elmo is a great way to help everyone see the activity that is going on. However, it not good for keeping everyone engaged in what is happening because only a couple of students can use the tool at once. Ideally you would want to use technology in a way that most students could participate at the same time. You will notice that when students are not engaged in the learning they tend to engage in other activities :)
